Rene Ricol, General Commissioner for Investment, visited the Infectious Diseases Center
Indeed, Lyonbiopole, a worldwide competitiveness cluster dedicated to the fight against infectious diseases and cancers, received Monday, July 5, 2010 Rene Ricol, General Commissioner for the investment, during his trip to Lyon.
The General Commissioner for investment has presented Monday, July 5 to all the concerned clusters' officials, the regional clusters of higher education chairmen in Lyon, Saint-Etienne and Grenoble, as well as firms' heads device, the "investment for the future".
It provides the development of digital uses and services, for a total of 2.5 billion €. Rene Ricol also visited the company Merial, and ended with Lyonbiopole's presentation and visit its Infectious Diseases Center.
As part of this meeting in Lyonbiopole, Rene Ricol was able to visit the Infectious deseases Center, which opened its doors in April 2009 and which is already hosting six teams of public and private research: Inserm U851, Inserm U851/Finovi, Institut Merieux The PLATINUM project , PX'Therapeutics and Transgene. Lyonbiopôle also plans to open by the end of 2013 a platform for innovation of 8,500 m2 of laboratories.
