A Doctor in Veterinary Medicine and a PhD from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France, Thierry began his career at Sanofi-Recherche in Toulouse, France, then spent several years as a researcher at the University of Montreal and as a consultant for several biopharmaceutical companies, before joining the biotech industry.

 

He notably held several executive positions at Theratechnologies (TH.TO), a Montreal-based publicly traded biopharmaceutical company, including those of Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice-President, Business Development.

 

Then he joined OPi SA (Lyon, France) in February 2005 as CEO and acting VP Research and Development, which he left in March 2007 to found the Alizé Pharma Group when OPi SA was acquired by EUSA Pharma Inc.

 

He has authored or co-authored 9 patents and more than 90 scientific publications and communications, has taken part to several financing rounds and has signed and managed multiple business and commercial partnerships with European, North American and Japanese pharmaceutical companies.
