The Universal Biotech Innovation Grant
Universal Biotech is launching the Innovation Grant in the aim that it will become a major event in the European biotechnologies scene.
The Universal Biotech Innovation Grant encourages innovative talent and the development of new processes or products in the biotechnology industries sector. The Universal Biotech Innovation Grant also allows those pro-active in the French and European biotechnology industries to be brought together around a common objective - excellence in the technical innovation and the development of bio-industries.
Principles
The Universal Biotech Innovation Grant will be based around three objectives:

Innovation - a degree of innovation or ingenuity shown in the reflexes and experimentation necessary to discover, to create or to conceive new applications in the biotechnology industry.

Uniqueness and originality - degree of originality and of the conception or style used to realise the invention.

Strategy - commercialisation plan, position of the market, maturity of the product or of the technology.
2009 Themes
The emphasis for the 2009 Universal Biotech Innovation Grant will be placed on therapeutic innovation. The applications must be entered under one of the two following thematic areas:
