The Infectiology Center opened its doors on April 1st, 2009

Located in the building Domilyon Gerland in Lyon, this structure for business R & D collaborative supply 1 920 m² of laboratories type P2 and P3 and shared equipment that can accommodate 84 people on an average of 3 years per project.

Aim:

  • To bring together major competencies in infectiology
  • To host researchers from all horizons at a shared platform - the only
  • one of its kind in Europe - for an   average period of 3 years
  • To energize innovation in the region, encourage collaboration between public and private research and provide easier access to technical platforms

At the opening, the Infectiology Center hosts :

 

  • PX'Monoclonals development of therapeutic proteins and monoclonal antibodies for R & D phase to the production of clinical batches

 

  • Transgène development of therapeutic vaccines and immunotherapy products for cancer and infectious diseases.

 

  • PLATINUM project: European Platform for immunomonitoring.

The project benefits to the skills of 5 partners: 

 

  • Three industrial: Innate Pharma, Transgene and ImmunID Technologies, 

 

  • INSERM U590 'Cytokines et Cancers"and U851" immunity, infection and vaccination" 

 

  • A hospital : the Center Léon Bérard. 



    The inauguration of the Infectiology Center is scheduled for June 2009
