International technological partnership program

Lyonbiopole applies to the call and support the international development of its SMBs.
Lyonbiopole has applied to the call in 2007, in collaboration with the Adit and two other French health competitiveness clusters: Alsace Bio Valley and Cancer-Bio-Santé. The alliance between these three clusters led to the creation of the Lifescience Corridor France (LCF) on December 4^th, 2007. This alliance has helped to strengthen the international activities in particular on three countries: the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe.

Results have already been achieved in the PPTI program:
Results at the end of 2009: 53 action plans to find partners for 45 firms, 14 firms engaged to find a partner in Japan, 18 in the USA and 9 in Quebec/Canada, 12 in Europe. 13 partnerships pending signature and 5 partnerships signed.

In the framework of the PPTI program, Lyonbiopole supports the international development of its member companies.

Scientific Workshop FAST (French American Scientific Track) on " Therapeutic Proteins, including Monoclonal Antibodies: New Challenges". This event organized by Lyonbiopole on October 27^th, 2009 at the headquarters of Genzyme, Cambridge (Massachusetts). On this occasion, three member companies of Lyonbiopole made a presentation: PX'Therapeutics, ERYtech Pharma and Metabolys. This event has received a strong support from Genzyme and form local partners: the FACCNE (French American Chamber of Commerce), the mission for Science and Technology of the French Ambassy and Hubtech 21.

In the context of its international development support, Lyonbiopole was present with 3 member companies: Imaxio, ImmunID and PX'Therapeutics from December 6^th to 10^th, 2009 in San Diego and San Francisco. Thanks to the support of Aderly, Invest in France Agency and UbiFrance, those companies benefited from personalized business meetings. At the same time, two events « FAST » (French American Scientific Track) were organized. The first one in San Diego at the Salk Institute in collaboration with French BioBeach on the topic: “integrated solutions for immunotherapy development: case study from France”. The second FAST entitled: « Window into French Life Science Companies » was organized in Palo Alto, in collaboration with the French American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco (FACCSF) and has been held by Cooley Godward Kronish LLP.
