Objectives of the team : In association with the Bayer CropScience phytosanitory company, as part of a joint laboratory, GFCPP team's mission is to contribute to the development of new control strategies against plant diseases. Fungi are the main pests, causing significant losses in Agriculture. In order to provide new fundamental research knowledge about their infection processes, the team works on two model fungi, Botrytis cinerea and Magnaporthe grisea. A focus is made on the early stages of their infection cycles during the interaction with their respective host plants, the grapevine and the rice.
