Jacques Berger joined the export department of the Merieux Institute in 1971 and from 1976 to 1984 occupied successively the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Merieux Institute in Benelux and Executive Vice President of the Merieux Institute in Miami, United States.

Between 1984 and 1992, he was Deputy Director for the department of human medicine of Pasteur Merieux, then cumulatively President of Imedex and Iffa Credo, two subsidiaries of the Merieux Institute. Jacques Berger was then in charge of the industrial operations of Pasteur Merieux then Pasteur Mérieux Connaught, in France then worldwide.
 

Since January, 2000, he has been leading the corporate responsibility for sanofi pasteur public affairs department.  Since 2004 he is President of sanofi pasteur France. 

 

Jacques Berger is President of the ISPB - Institute of the Pharmaceutical and Biologic Sciences - Lyon.
