Program development
A comprehensive training program in the areas of infectious diseases, immunology and virology is being developed.
The challenge involves building high-level international training programs in these fields and becoming a world reference in training on these topics.
Program aims:
- To train students as part of their initial training and providing high-level continuous training for company staff, researchers and teachers.
- To partner with leading research and training institutions worldwide and, through this training program, promote and develop top-notch academic and industrial research
- To provide a range of international-scale training programs in Lyon

Presentation of the training program
It features three main components
- The initial training program
There are two Master’s degrees, one in Infectious Diseases and the other in “Virus, Immunity and Viral Vectors”. They aim to provide high-level Master’s training at the leading edge of research needs. (Starting in September 2007) - The continuous training program
This program offers sessions/conferences/workshops in the cluster’s field of activity that bring experts and opinion leaders from around the world to Lyon and Grenoble. It also aims to build an inventory of corporate continuous training programs and share or combine them in order to increase their effectiveness. - The training center
This program aims to consolidate Lyon’s position as an international reference in infectious disease training with the creation of:- workshops, forums on specific scientific issues
- tutorials, quick technical training programs on emerging technologies
