acCInov « ACcelerating the setup of the Infectious Diseases Center to better inNOVate »
acCInov, innovation platform of 6,500 sq.m. in Lyon Gerland, part of Lyonbiopole’s infrastructure policy to support innovation
The construction of Lyonbiopole’s acCInov platform started in September 2010. This project marks the second step of Lyonbiopole’s infrastructure policy dedicated to cover all links in the innovation chain to fight infectious diseases. AcCInov follows Lyonbiopole’s Infectious Diseases Center, open in April 2009 on the Charles Merieux campus in Lyon Gerland. The new platform will allow to triple the innovation area dedicated to hosting projects in pre-clinical and clinical research in biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals of its members.
AcCInov was selected at the call for projects "innovation platforms" jointly launched by the DGCIS Ministry of Economy, Industry and Employment and the Caisse des depots et consignations (CDC). The platform will also benefit from the support of local authorities, the Greater Lyon and the Rhone-Alpes Regional Council, within the framework of the CPER (State Region Project Contract) 2007-2010.
